IBITOL Tekniske dataTECHNICAL SHEET/12-01 IBITOL Product description Cold bitumenous primer before application of bituminous products in general IBITOL is a cold bituminous primer used before application of bituminous products in general made from bitumen and organic solvents. Characteristics of the product IBITOL is a solution of bitumen in an organic solvent. The solvent in the bituminous solution has the characteristic to dry out quickly, and so a thin layer of bitumen remains. Because of the low viscosity of the solution, it penetrates well into the concrete pores and gives good contact during installing of the other waterproofing layers. The product IBITOL is inflammable, that fore it is necessary to follow all regulations about working with inflammable substances! The product should not be in contact with the Styrofoam EPS, because it dissolves it. As a primer respectively a preparation for the surface it is used in the realization of all different kinds of waterproofing at construction sites above and below the ground (foundations, basements, floors, walls, surfaces, flat roofs, reservoirs, joints .) It is applied with a roller or by spraying on a cleaned, dry and dust-free surface. Usage of the preliminary coating is from 0,3 to 0,5 l/m2. IBITOL is packed in metal cans or metal barrels that are put together on a pallet. Each packaging unit is equipped with labels, stating all product data (name of the product, manufacturing date and shift, filling quantity, safety data,.). It is stored in covered rooms, protected from sun, heat and mechanical damage. Storage and transport have to be in accordance with the valid "ADR" regulations. How to use the product and safety measures are written on the labels of the product.
